How We Research Service Dog Providers
Our goal is to make provider information comparable without pretending uncertain facts are known.
Provider inclusion
The launch directory contains 192 publish-ready U.S. provider/trainer records assembled through accreditation directories, state-by-state research and provider validation. Breeders are intentionally separate and are not part of this launch dataset.
Source priority
We prefer current first-party provider pages and authoritative accreditation or government sources. Each provider record keeps at least one research source when available so facts can be audited and refreshed.
Unknown does not mean no
If a provider does not publicly state a cost, wait time, owner-training option or other fact, the directory uses language such as “Not publicly listed” or “Contact provider.” We do not turn missing information into a negative answer.
Volatile information
Application status, price, wait time and geographic eligibility can change quickly. Every provider page displays the research verification date. Users should confirm important details directly with the provider before applying or making financial decisions.
Corrections
A provider correction workflow will be added as the directory grows. Until then, source links on each profile show the basis for the published information.
